Behind the Scenes: Font Edition

As my fellow bloggers doubtless know, there is a whole bunch of less-than-glamorous "tweaking" that goes on behind the scenes of maintaining a blog.

Among the tasks are editing and proofing posts, formatting images, aligning text, designing, re-designing and then returning to the exact same layout you had before; randomly changing the font of the page text and then deciding you hate it, and of course, the inevitable "toying with throwing your blog out and starting all over again with a completely new webpage but not doing it because you're attached and anxious" thing.

Sigh.

Over the 2+ years that Acoustic Erin has existed as a living, breathing blog,
I am taking this way too far she has undergone a lot of font and design changes.

I even used to include these guys on my sidebar.
*farewell my furry friends*

WE MISS YOU!

So without further ado, I present to you:

THE EVOLUTION OF ACOUSTIC ERIN'S TITLE FONT

Yep, these are all the fonts I have used/debated using in my blog header.

But seriously, my family always jokes about me talking about font.
Redesigning my blog header font has become one of my dreaded favorite blog pastimes over these 2 years.

Here we go!

Ah, the generic serif Acoustic Erin header.
My dad (who I constantly plague with my font-related inquiries) hated this one.
RIP, buddy. We had some good times.

I used this one for a while, too.
It looks a little too casual, if you ask me.

WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?

I almost get Disney vibes from this one for some reason?

Ah, no; this one is just a cat-scratched mess.

I still kind of like this one, but the combo of the cursive E and the non-cursive A throw me off.
Where's the consistency? Why don't the O and U connect?
I'm starting to hate it.

This is another one of my favorites.
It's actually the font I used for a long time to write my novel title!
I love how simple the aesthetic is....this font is seriously like an old friend to me.

Why did I think chalk was a good idea?

More Disney vibes.

Eh.

And here we are, folks, my gloriously decadent and whimsical current font choice.
*sniffs*
SO BEAUTIFUL

+ Which of these fonts do you love/hate the most?
LEMME KNOW
