when no strength is left? grace.

LONG TIME NO SEE. *hugs all around* Goodness, I hope to return to the blogging world real soon; seriously, this semester has been something else! Even though I technically don't even have time to be writing this post right now, I thought I'd share this with y'all:

"He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful."
~ 1st Corinthians 1:8-9

Something to Ponder: We are saved by grace, but also sanctified by grace. Why do I think that I can impress Christ by being "good" or keeping a list or having it all together? God is good and it's okay to break down. It's His job to search us and sanctify us, and help us along. It's our job to be willing and broken hearts....humble.
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise."
~ Psalm 51:17

Oh, and Happy Halloween!

  2. This post literally made me cry. As much as I know that I am saved by grace and not by works, I still find myself doing my best and stressing myself out to be "good enough". BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT HE WANTS. He saves us no matter what, because He loves us that much.

    1. Aw, I'm glad it meant something to you! :) That means a lot. <3 I encounter this problem more times than I'd like to admit. But the whole point of grace is that we COULDN'T be good enough. I have to dwell on the Word and the truth of God more, to dispel these lies. Here's a verse about Christ and the struggle to be perfect that I really love:

"For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy." ~ Hebrews 10:14

He has already made us perfect because He transferred His perfection to us. Wowza! Love that. :)
